FIGHTING AGAINST FORCED AND CHILD LABOUR
The Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (the “Act”) requires that businesses state actions they have taken during the fiscal year to prevent and reduce the risk of forced labour or child labour within their operations and supply chain. This is a joint report for Boathouse & Blackwell Supply Co., as part of the Arlie’s Sport Shop (Downtown) Ltd. group of companies, together as “Boathouse & Blackwell”. This report refers to the 2024 fiscal year end, being July 27, 2024, and describes steps taken by the Boathouse & Blackwell in 2024.
Boathouse & Blackwell takes its responsibilities under the Act very seriously, seeking to do our part in recognizing our responsibility to respect and protect the human rights of all people who support and intersect with our business. Our commitment to prevent and reduce the risk of forced and child labour applies to our network of stores and facilities across Canada, and international business partners throughout our supply chain network.
As part of this responsibility, below is the report filed with Public Safety Canada, outlining steps taken to prevent and reduce the risk of forced labour during the fiscal year.
